Popular games and esports platforms introduce student teams to 21st-century tech and communication skills, design thinking, entrepreneurship and prototyping for relevant STEM industries.

Teams of 2-4 students blend gaming and design engineering projects as they:

  • simulate a professional racing team with iRacing,
  • design wearable technology with League of Legends or Fortnight,
  • design “Green” stadiums of the future with MLB Baseball,
  • create augmented reality apps with Madden Football, or
  • create mobile gaming peripherals with a number of console-driven Esports games (Elementary)

All camps include 5 guides for Team Building and exploration specific to the selected games. While these guides can be done in sequence, they can be done as individual, stand-alone modules as well.

For instance, the iNSL iRacing Challenge Course includes:

  1. Project Management and Planning your T.E.A.M.S.
  2. Public Relations and Marketing for your T.E.A.M.S.
  3. Peripherals Project (Learning about electrical and coding connections in Gaming)
  4. Prototyping (Do-it-Yourself Hands-On Project)
  5. Performance (Playing the Game)

What will you receive in a Curriculum?

  • Online Curriculum with five modules.
  • Prototyping materials lists suggested for the project will be included. Kits are available if you prefer that option.
  • Each student receives an individual login for self-paced exploration.  A counselor or facilitator can access the curriculum and project it onto a big screen to lead the camp each day. Login packages include 12 or 24 site licenses for the curriculum.
  • NOTE:  Ideally, each student team will have access to a laptop, PC., or Chromebook at your locality to access the curriculum and create the project.

Getting Started:

No matter what platform you choose to license, iNSL helps make the world of Esports and GameTech more relevant, more hands-on, and more fun with STEM.

  • If new to gaming and Esports, decide on the games you will play and obtain the necessary licenses and logins.
  • Purchase the age appropriate iNSL Curriculum Membership and use your group management page to set up student logins so each camper can access the 5 T.E.A.M.S. guides.
  • Set up a prototyping table for working on hands-on projects.
  • Reserve an online or on-site training time with iNSL.
  • Check your Esports computers, consoles, and other equipment. Troubleshoot any hardware /software issues. Make sure your computers and /or consoles meet published game requirements.
